Un azzardo

I più scaltri intuiranno, dal “dente” in basso a destra, che questa è una lastra grande formato.
La foto è stata realizzata con questa pinhole, autoprogettata e quasi interamente autocostruita, in una cava di travertino.
La fotocamera non è dotata di un otturatore, l’esposizione va quindi regolata “a mano”: primo azzardo.
Il cavalletto che ho usato non è affatto affidabile, una ciofeca in plastica: secondo azzardo.
La pellicola, una FOMAPAN classic 100, è scaduta da qualche anno e l’ho sviluppata con il R09 come se niente fosse, aumentando leggermente i tempi: terzo azzardo.
Il risultato è la somma di tre azzardi andati bene, quale miglior modo per iniziare l’anno?

La macchia nera in alto è dovuta allo scotch carta che uso per fissare la lastra dentro lo chassis, troppo grande.
Ormai non un azzardo ma una pratica di routine.

Some of you may recognize the large format by the notch on the lower right corner. I took this photo with this pinhole camera, almost self-made, in a travertine cave.
This camera doesn’t have a shutter so I had to expose the film literally by hand (cover / uncover the pinhole ): first risk.
The tripod I used is not reliable at all, is a cheap piece of plastic: second risk.
The film I used, FOMAPAN classic 100, expired few years ago and I developed it with the R09 increasing time a little bit, without thinking too much: thirdt risk.
The result, even though all this risks, is quite good. A good photo to start the year with.

The strange black stain on the top is due to the tape I use to fix the sheet of film on the too-big-chassis.
This is not a risk anymore, it’s ordinary.
