Quarto estratto, forse l’ultimo dato che ho praticamente finito il ripasso delle foto fatte a New York.

I think my review of the photos I took in NYC is now complete, so this is the fourth and maybe the last extract of the entire work.

In questo post una somma degli scatti caratterizzati da un certo ritmo.

I luoghi sono nell’ordine: l’Oculus del World Trade Center, Brighton Beach (due foto) e uno scorcio nel Queens. Credo.

Il terzo estratto di NYC

Il terzo estratto riguarda Coney Island, un luogo iconico della vita newyorkese.

Ospita infatti il primo Luna park al mondo, datato 1903, che ho scoperto essere gestito dal 2010 da una azienda italiana: la Zamperla.

This post is about Coney Island, an iconic place of new yorkers life.

Here in 1903 the first Luna park was built and I just discovered that from 2010 it is property of the italian company Zamperla.

Coney in realtà è una penisola, si trova nell’area di Brooklin e affaccia sulla baia di New York. La celebre Wonder Wheel, insieme alle altre storiche attrazioni, ha reso questo luogo estremamente appetibile dal punto di vista scenografico e per questo è stato set di numerosi film e serie televisive.

Coney is a peninsula in the Brookin area, into the New York bay. This place has been widely used as a set for cinema movies and TV series, thanks to its famous Wonder Wheel and its other main attractions.

L’industria del divertimento subì la grande depressione degli anni ’30, di conseguenza il parco ebbe un declino che lo rese per certi versi ancora più affascinante.

The great depression of the ’30s hit the amusement park industry so Coneys Luna park knew decades of decline, that somehow added a sort of fascination to it.

In questa seconda mini-selezione ho preferito la notte.
